Trickster & King
Ada Palmer and Lauren Schiller frequently perform together as the duo: “Sassafrass: Trickster & King.” They perform most frequently at science fiction and fantasy conventions where Ada is appearing as an author guest.
When performing as a duo, Lauren and Ada focus on the duets from the Norse collection, and on taking apart some of the larger group pieces to demonstrate how the puzzle pieces fit together.
“Sassafrass: Trickster and King” is named for the fact that Lauren and Ada perform as Odin and Loki in our Norse project “Sundown” and Odin and Loki are both tricksters, and both kings, in their way, so the double name invokes both characters.
The next concert by “Sassafrass: Trickster and King” will be with Jo Walton who is GOH at Mythcon 46, in Colorado Springs between July 31-Aug. 3. We will also perform at Sasquan (Worldcon) in Spokane in August.
