Sassafrass is proud to be part of the filk community, composing and performing sci-fi and fantasy themed music at science fiction and literary conventions and gatherings. These pieces were written specifically with the fan community in mind, playing on such familiar themes as mad science and sea chanties, and the role sci-fi fantasy fandom plays in the lives of those who take part in it.
