It’s hard to categorize these songs, since they aren’t romantic, but they are emotional. After so many times sitting in restaurants hearing music for close to two hours without hearing anything on a topic other than traditional romance, it’s refreshing to create a song about some other emotion or relationship. Many of these songs focus on the idea of an individual person thinking about his/her relationship with a friend, or with him/herself, rather than others.
